Hyderabad: The most propeller and BJP candidates for Huzurabad By-Election, Eatala Rajender, have made one of the 50 special invitations to the Safron Party National Executive Committee announced on Thursday.
Former Health Minister Telangana has just joined BJP in June after he was expelled from the State Cabinet on charges of land seizure and fostering differences with the chairman of Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Many see this as an indication of the increasing importance of Telangana for BJP ahead of the selection of Lok Sabha 2024.
It is also an indication that the party took Huzurabad polls with 30 October very seriously.
Besides Eatala, six other Telangana leaders have been added to national executives.
In comparison, three leaders from Andhra Pradesh made it into the list.
Actress-turned Politicians Vijayashanti is another special invitation from Telangana.
Minister of Union G Kiswan Reddy, and G Vivek’s State Executive Member, G Mohan Rao, and Jitender Reddy was named the regular member of the National Executive.
D k aruna, current national vice president and other prominent leaders, has been appointed for the body as an office carrier.
The source said the party had given priority to leaders who had joined them from other parties.
Eatala, DK Aruna, G Mohan Rao, G Vivek, and Vijayashanti all joined BJP in the past year.
“Even though this can cause some internal disputes between newcomers and old timers, it is necessary to expand the party,” said a top leader.
