Hyderabad: More students attended the second day with a percentage of attendance improved by 42% on Wednesday against poor 32%, the day before.
Overall, 55 Lakh students were registered at 38,307 schools in the state.
From them, around 23 Lakh students attended offline classes, officials said.
The school was closed in December due to the increase in the Covid-19 case, driven by the Omicron variant.
According to the Department of School Education, 37, 647 schools continued their physical class on Wednesday.
“We sincerely hope that in the next few days more students will begin to return to school when the threat of a virus decreases,” said a senior education official.
Among the districts, Asifabad recorded a percentage of the highest attendance with 53% of students attending the physical class, followed by KHAMMAM with 51% and Jogulamba with 49%.
Even in the Hyderabad district, the percentage of presence continued to be low because only 33% of students attended offline classes on Wednesday due to 33% on Tuesday.
The percentage of attendance in Ranga Reddy and medak respectively reached 46% and 39% respectively.
Sanitation in school remains a concern for parents who ask for school authorities about the protocols and Covid steps taken at the school.
With the country giving her nodding to continue the physical class, Localcircles conducted a survey where 49% of parents in Telangana said they were willing to send their children to school now and the other 33% are willing to do so after testing the level of front in their district falls to 2%.
In the survey, which received 2,332 responses from residents in 24 districts, 18% of parents said that they would send them to school only when TPR was 1% or lower.
