T’Gana saw 249 new Covid cases, 2 deaths again

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 249 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths on Sundays even when the number of active cases in the state was at 5,258.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year stood at 6.61,551 and the Death Toll was at 3,895.
The number of active detention zones in the country is at 15.
Karimnagar and Yadadri have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
313 patients were declared recovered on Sunday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6,52,398.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stood at 0.58% while the recovery rate was at 98.61%.
So far 79.8% of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2% have been symptomatic.
On Sunday, 53,789 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed a sample of 2.54 crore samples and has reached 6.83 lakh testing sample per million populations.
GHMC records 82 cases on Sunday.
