Hyderabad: New Health Minister Harish Rao said on Thursday that 84.3% of eligible people received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine and 38.5% took the second dose in the state.
Rao said the percentage of the state vaccine was higher than the national level where 79% of people were eligible to receive the first dose and 34.5% second dose.
When reviewing the efforts of Covid-19 vaccination in the state with officials, the minister asked them to speed up the drive vaccine further.
“The state has outperformed the national average in vaccination, and the campaign must continue,” he told them.
The Minister of Health said that the state has set a record in vaccination because the number of cases and deaths has dropped dramatically.
He also directed district officials to accelerate immunization efforts in the district, including the village.
Rao also reviewed Wing health, multi-specialtial hospital buildings, vaccines, facilities and problems such as the top position to be filled, and the required system strengthening measures.
Other review meetings will be held on Saturday.
At the meeting was decided to revive general health services at King Koti Hospital with 350 beds, and in the TIMS, with the exception of 250 beds provided for Covid cases.
