T’Gana wants technicians in the office in September; Reluctant industry

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government may be interested in seeing the IT / ITES sector noting all employees to the office from September, but the company is not ready to go all the pig with R2O (back to office).
Delaying them is fear of the third potential wave and increased friction rate (pegged around 20%) which can make it difficult to solve whip employees and flocks back to the office.
“Currently only about 7-8% of employees who work from the office (WFO).
Before the two-hit wave, the industry expects about 30% of staff in the office in July, but now it is expected to only 10%,” said Hyderabad Enterprises Association (Hysea) President Bharani Kumar Aroll.
He said while smaller players showed interest in WFOs, most of the big ones were not interested in encouraging employees because of this fear.
Batting for the first safety, the former GCC Board seat Nasscom V Laxmikanth said the opening was full of risk because even a single incident could turn off the GCC and even in the US technology center was being reopened in a measurable and voluntary way.
“While it’s good to give a positive message that Covid is behind us and the country is ready, instead of being a prescriptive government must work with the company to reopen.
We don’t know anything about viruses and if something goes wrong, leadership here must answer to the boss and their employees.
“Also nearly 40% of the 6-lakh strange technology employed by Ti Sector Telangana is in the WFH of their home cities and reluctant to return to the office due to increased savings and safety issues and can switch jobs if Driven too hard, felt the head of the industry.
“Apart from WFH’s fatigue, friction increases due to the high demand for digital transformation projects.
Hiking salaries on work jobs have been fired from around 30% to 45-50%,” said Aroll, adding only 55% of technicians in the WFH in Hyderabad has received at least one dose vaccine.
The community for the Secretary General of Cyber Security Counter (SCSC) Krishna Yedula also felt that even if the office was opened in September, the WFO component would remain at the sub-20% level only due to lack of self-confidence.
Although there is no direction issued for the industry, Telangana’s main secretary & C said the government wants the office to be fully reopened in early September due to many livelihoods that depend on the IT sector which is not affected.
“IT companies talking about charity and CSR must realize that not reporting back work causes loss of livelihoods.
That (third wave) is very speculative and just sitting at home and thinking about it is ignorance,” Ranjan said, showing almost 60% of the technicians This in Hyderabad has been vaccinated.
“We are very confident that even if there is a third wave, it will not start in Telangana because of our extraordinary readiness” he added.
