Hyderabad: After complicated training at vacancies in various government departments, senior officials reportedly identified 56,975 posts lying empty in 28 departments.
From this post, 44,022 vacancies in the government department, 12,957 posts are in the agency of giving government assistance and various companies.
Chief of Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao previously directed the secretary of various departments to submit a list of vacancies in their respective departments.
The government plans to fill 50,000 posts in the first phase immediately.
Secretary of all departments submitted the details of employees in their department and empty post to the Country Cabinet, who met here on Wednesday.
Officials also provide total posts sanctions, vacancies in various parts and contracts and outsourcing employees who work in the department.
CM asks officials to come up with more details about vacancies within five days.
While CMO has not provided a number of vacancies, sources say the house department has the highest number of empty posts at 21,500, followed by 10,000 posts in the Ministry of Health and Medical, 3,800 posts in the welfare of BC and 3,500 other vacancies in the Ministry of Higher Education.
The cabinet instructed officials to categorize employees based on new zone systems and new districts and identified regencies of empty posts and zones and also to take steps to fill empty posts made because of promotion.
“The power of current employees and information about empty posts must be sent from all departments to the government within five days,” KCR said.
CM said there was a need to create new and modern jobs and at the same time, some posts such as telephone operators were irrelevant.
“Administrative settings must renew themselves regularly and offer better services to people and steps that must be taken in this direction,” CM said.
The cabinet said that the distribution of employees between Telangana and AP had been completed and 200 to 300 Telangana employees left in the AP will be brought back.
The Cabinet also instructed that all the characteristics of the organization and government institutions must be recorded and compiled departments.
