New Delhi: Union Information and Minister of Broadcasting Thakur and Bangladesh Hasan Mahmud on Tuesday discussed a number of problems ranging from the exchange of people-to-people, India’s international film festivals and bilateral film production.
At their meeting, Thakur announced India and Bangladesh would release biopics in Sheikh ‘Bangabandhu’ Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in March 2022 to commemorate the 50 years of release of Bangladesh and 75 years of Indian independence.
The two ministers also discussed the celebration of ‘Maitri Diawas’ on December 6, where the ‘action plan’ would be compiled and released immediately.
Mahmud, the first Bangladeshe leader traveling to India after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Dhaka in January this year, also met with the Minister of External Affairs Jaishankar.
Explain his meeting with ministers as “very good”, Mahmud, at a function organized by the Bangladesh High Commission, emphasizing the need for “greater integration” in the region.
“Contact and bonds of people-to-people who share among people from both countries are prehistoric.
But this is also one of the least integrated places.
That is the reality …
we have to do the trouble …
even though we speak language The same and has the same culture …
for people’s movements, there are many obstacles to this day.
This must be lifted or made much easier, “he said.
Jaisankar said that he discussed the media and bilateral cooperation with Mahmud.
Mahmud, who was on a three-day visit to India, also said he was transferred during the event to inaugurate the ‘Bangabandhu Media Center’ at The Press Club of India on Monday and repeated gratitude to Indians and soldiers who contributed Bangladesh’s release.
