Thane: Two teenage boys were feared drowning after they swim in the Dam Maharashtra district, Brigade officials on Monday.
Male children, aged 15 and 16 years, both residents of Mahalakhmi Tekdi in Ambernath Town, ventured into the waters of the Chikloli dam on Sundays.
When they did not come out, the locals told the police and firefighters, who rushed to the site and launched a search.
The Ambernath fire service officer Mehboob Patel said the search was stopped at night and continued on Monday morning, but the children had not been traced.
Water from the Chikloli Dam was supplied to the residents of the city of Ambernath for drinking purposes.
Following heavy rain during the rainy season this year, the dam was filled with his capacity, officials said.
