Thane: The names of 30,000 voters from Mumbra in Thane Maharashtra Regency have been mistakenly removed from the selection roll which quotes them to migrate elsewhere, claiming the cabinet minister at Maha Vikas Aghadi Jitendra Awhad.
He now demanded the earliest revision.
The Minister on Tuesday claimed to have verified privately the presence of families that were wrongly marked as migrating and worried that some voters were not only from Mumbra but throughout the state, it could be removed in the same way.
“I have personally visited the address of the population who had been marked as migrated but found them stayed in the same location.
This raises a serious question about the work done by the electoral department.
The situation cannot be different in the state,” he told MediodPersons.
Be aware of the impact of this elimination in future civilian polls scheduled for next year, Awhad has now asked the electoral department to correct errors on selection scrolls wherever pay attention and do not eliminate their constitutional rights voters.
He also tweeted about hoses earlier this week.
