Thane: A 34-year-old woman was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana and other narcotics in the city of Thane Maharashtra, police said on Friday.
Mariam Salim Ali Jafira, a resident of an area called Sri Lanka in Mumbra, was arrested in early morning, said the Mumbra police station officer Mumbra.
The police intercepted the woman accused of being near the school and confiscated 365 GM marijuana and several other narcotics pills worth Rs 51,706 from their ownership, the official said.
Cases under the relevant parts of drug narcotics and psychotropic law (NDPS) have been registered against the defendant and further investigation into progress.
