Ulhasnagar: The Thane (ACB) Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested Yashwant Sagale, a transportation department administrator Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation (UMC) and Contractual Drivers Bharat Yevale to accept RS 3,000 bribes from a complainant who is a contract driver to release his monthly salary.
The ACB team on Wednesday night arrested Yevale from the opposite Virat Ambe Hotel while receiving red hand while capturing the sistale from his office.
Officials ACB said that the complainant who worked as a contract driver at UMC on December 13 was approaching ACB who complained that Sistale demanded bribes from contracted drivers and helpers in the Department of Transportation to release their salaries.
ACB officials said acting on the complaints of their team first verified the claims of complainants and then on Wednesday lay a successful trap and first arrested Yevale to receive money on behalf of the system from his office at the head office.
