Thane: Officers attached to the Department of Anti Encroachment Naupada-Kopri Corporation Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has been suspended after an internal investigation which established the Nexus with hawkers, officials told on Friday.
Ashwini Waghmale, Deputy Commissioner of the City, is responsible for the elimination of illegitimate construction and encroachment being told they received complaints about officers that he was closely related to some of the vendors and their leaders and also often looked socializing with them.
“Internal requests are carried out which exposes collusion with the vendors and also celebrates their birthdays with them.
