Thane: anti-narcotics cells invaded a leading paan shop located in the Naupada Thane area and arrested the owner for allegedly kept a hookah flavor package that was banned, police said on Sunday.
According to officials, the team led by Inspector V Powar from the anti-narcotics cell of the Crime Crime Thane, unit-1 was told about the consignment of the contraband goods sold in place.
Therefore, the team stormed the store and found ten packages and six boxes of Hookah’s flavor, valued at 6.90 lakh on the market, police said.
Violations of registered owners to sell goods that are prohibited according to cigarettes and other tobacco product laws, 2003 (COTPA ACT).
