Thane: Chemical Unit in Dombivali MIDC in the Thane District sealed after a video showing it spell green foaming water to the open to the viral on social media, officials said on Tuesday.
The action was taken on the initiative of Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) Commissioner Vijay Suryavanshi and Secretary of MPCB Ashok Shingare MPCB, said broadcast.
The probe found that this unit was authorized to produce aromatic chemicals but also process the color of green food even though it did not get permission for the last, he said.
This unit was sealed on Monday night and the electricity and water supply was disconnected, release information.
