Thane: Thane City on Wednesday reported 29 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total number of cases to 1,36,932.
During the day, 43 people were sent home.
So far, 1,34,427 people have recovered.
There were no new Covid-19 deaths that occurred in the city, however, the overall death toll stand at 2,078.
The city is now left with 427 active cases.
While the recovery rate is 98.17 percent, double the number is 2,951.
Among new cases, Majiwada-Manpada Ward reported 10 new cases, followed by six in Naupada-Kopri, four in Uthalsar and two each in Vartak Nagar and Kalwa.
One case each found in the Local Region – Savarkar Nagar, Wagale and Mumbra.
Meanwhile, Civic’s body said that Covid-19 vaccination would not take place on Thursday at the center of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).
However, 100 doses will be available for those who go abroad for education or work.
Vaccination will take place from 11am to 13:00 at the post-covid center.
