Thane: Wing Wing Wing (EOW) from Police Thane arrested a man from the desired Mangalore in multi-crore investment fraud.
The defendant, Raviraj Ammu Samani, has escaped from the city after a violation was registered against him, the officer said.
Acting on the tip, Thane police went to Mangaloru and arrested the defendant with the help of the local police.
A senior police officer told me that on January 14, 2020 a violation was registered against the defendant with the Kapurbawdi police station under Section 420 (cheating), 409 (criminal violation of public confidence, or by bankers, traders, or agents), 406 (criminal violations of trust ), together with other parts of Maharashtra protection for depositors (MPID).
