Thane: The police arrested a man for allegedly supporting MMRDA flat documents in Mumbra which was intended for affected people due to road widening projects.
Police said that Imran Junkeja Alia Munna Merchant’s accusation, Gujarat’s native, was arrested.
The police received a tip that someone was involved in malpractice and reportedly used false documents in making flats.
He is suspected of taking money and giving a fake bonding letter to people who are not even projected projects (PAPS).
“Raid was carried out at the residence of the defendant and several false documents were confiscated from ownership,” police said.
Nearly 18 allotment letters, for people who were not even PAPs, found in the ownership of the defendant.
91 MMRDA booklets, 21 government stamps, 24 mmrda stickers, 5 stamp bearings, one diary, one printer is among the other things seized.
The computerized key, which has Thane Municipal Corporation, was also confiscated from the defendant.
This leads the police to suspect the role of people in fraud.
