Thane: Thane District in Maharashtra crossed the second dose of 50-lakh doses on Thursday night, said district health officials.
Officials said that it meant that it was almost 63 percent of the total 79 lakh population that qualified to get vaccines now has been completely affixed in the districts that have been in the news for relatively slow vaccination speed.
The total vaccine jab given in the Thane district has crossed 1.13 crores, where 66.3 lakh is for the first dose, the official said.
About 16 Lakh residents have not taken a single dose of vaccines, but in the district, according to the data provided.
