THANE: The coronavirus caseload at Thane district of Maharashtra climbed to 5,07,316 using the accession of 887 instances, an official said on Saturday. These instances were reported Friday, once the virus claimed the lives of 61 men, pushing the death toll on the district into 8,768. Thane’s Covid-19 mortality rate is 1.72 percent today, he further added. In neighbouring Palghar district, the disease count has become 1,06,038 and death toll on 1,974, a second official said.
