Written by news2in

Thane: Observation notices have been issued to former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Singh by police Thane in connection with extortion cases.
This notice was issued in the case of extortion registered at the Thane Nagar police station against Singh, former Police Commissioner Mumbai, and 27 others on July 30 in complaints of Tanna’s stickers.
Observing notifications are issued to prevent someone from leaving the country.
Besides Singh, who previously served as Police Commissioner Thane, the separation satisfied several other police officers.
This includes Deputy Commissioner Deputy Police Deoraj Dipak, Assistant Commissioner of Police Nivrurti Kadam, Senior Inspector of Anti Extortion Cell (AEC) Pradeep Sharma and Inspector Rajkumar Kothmire, said officials.
In his complaint, Tanna had alleged that when Singh was Police Commissioner Thane between January 2018 and February 2019, the defendant extorted Rs 1.25 Crore from him by calling him to the AC office and threatened to beat him in a serious criminal case.
During the investigation, the Probe team felt the need to issue a notification of observations against Singh, after the proposal in this case was sent to the authorities concerned.
Thus, the notification has been issued to the top police, he said.
This notification allows immigration officials at the airport to prevent someone desired by the police or other law enforcement agencies to travel abroad.
The second extortion case has been registered against Singh and DCP Parag Manere at the Kopri Police Station in Thane City.
In this case, the proposal for issuing Lookout Notification against Singh and Manere has been sent by the police, the official said.
“We are waiting for a reply from the FRRO office (foreign regional registration officer) about the notification of observations in the Copri case,” he said.
