Thane: The police have arrested a man in Thane City and confiscated him a record of a fake currency of Rs 2.98 lakh nominal value, an official said on Thursday.
The defendant, Riaz Abdul Rahiman Sikilkar, 37, Nabbed on Wednesday night in the Charang area, he said.
“Based on the tip-off, the trap was placed close to the cinema home and the defendant was caught .
The police have registered a violation of him under the relevant section of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) at the Naupada police station, he said, adding that investigation.
