Thane: FIR has been submitted against the organizer of an event during the ‘Jan Asirwad Yatra’ Patil’s Union Union minister because of alleged Norma Covid-19, an official said on Wednesday.
As part of tourism by several ministers who have just been appointed in various parts of Maharashtra to reach people, MOS for Pancirayati Raj and Bhiwandi MP Patil said on Monday joining Yatra in Thane where hundreds of BJP activists welcomed him, while members of the Agri community and Koli dances and sings the song.
In one of the events during Yatra, the committee installed the stage where BJP activists were allegedly gathered in large quantities without wearing a mask or maintaining a social distance, an official from the Kopri Police Station in Thane.
They also did not take permission from the police for the event, he said.
Police Kopri on Monday night registered FIR against two Corporators and two BJP local officials under the Indian Criminal Code 188 section (disobedience to order correctly announced by civil servants), 269, 270 (negligent, malignant actions that tend to spread dangerous disease infections for Life) and the provisions of the acts of epidemic disease.
There was no arrest made so far, police said.
One person also allegedly robbed the One Lakh Hospital during the event, they said.
