Thane: The fire erupted on a godown paper in the city of Bhiwandi from the Thane Maharashtra district on Thursday, and there were no casualties reported in the incident, a citizenship official said.
Blaze broke out in Godown in the compound of Harihar Mankoli around 4pm and the place was truly broken hearted, said Santosh Kadam, head of the regional disaster management corporation Thane Municipal.
The Bhiwandi Fire Extinguisher Nizampur Municipal Corporation (BNMC) struggled against fire for several hours and controlling it, the official said.
Although there were no casualties reported in the incident, the cause of fire was being examined, he added.
