Thane: The day after Housing Minister Jitendra Awhad was arrested and released by collateral, a complainant, Anant Karmuse who was allegedly kidnapped and attacked by the NCP functionary at the Awhad Bungalow last year repeated the request to be submitted to the CBI.
Karmuse said he had lost trust in Thane police, because of their investigation “defective and carried out intentionally to save ministers and helpers”.
The complainants said, “I do not understand why the police took 17 months to arrest a minister.
His name was clearly mentioned in my statement, but the police refused to make him accused and arrest him last.” He added that even the police accused of having a penalty.
“I don’t think when the Ministry of Home portfolio is with their party, they will give me justice here,” Karmuse said, referring to the Ministry of Home State, led by a Minister of NCP.
Senior police officers Thane claimed that the investigation had been done fairly.
Meanwhile, Devendra Fadnivis, opposition leader, said, “Why does the action against the minister take quietly? It seems that the police associate with the minister.”
