Thane: A 25-year-old security guard of a housing community in Naupada has been arrested for allegedly raping a mental woman who is unstable last week.
Allegations have started working in the community a few months ago.
The woman lived alone, police said, adding that her relatives visited her twice a week.
“On November 3, the woman’s neighbor found her crying.
Assuming that she had hurt himself or suffered from a disease, they took him to the hospital, where the doctor found that he had been sexually attacked,” said Sanjay Dhumal, Senior Inspector of the Naupada Police Station .
Furthermore, rape cases were registered under Section 376 of the Indian Criminal Code.
After asking the neighbor, the police focused on the security guard.
“He was detained and during the interrogation, he claimed to be a crime,” said a police officer.
The guard was arrested and produced before a local court that turned it on for court custody.
The woman is now with relatives and her condition is stable, police said.
