Thane: City Police arrested a 42-year-old housewife allegedly because of shoplifting electronic goods from showrooms in the city, police said last week.
The defendant was a resident of the upper class housing complex that targeted electronic goods stores and it was also during rush hour to complete his task, said Dr.
Vinay Rathod, deputy commissioner of the Police Zone V (Wagle Estate).
“It was on November 3, in one case he had stolen a laptop worth Rs 1 Lakh from an electronic showroom on Jalan Ghodbunder City where a violation was registered at the Kapurbawdi police station on November 15, 2021 below the part 380 IPC,” Rathod said.
