Kalyan: Kalyan-dombivli twin town in Maharashtra District reported more than 1,000 fresh Covid-19 cases on Thursday.
A total of 1,172 people were tested positive in the last 24 hours taking Tally to 1,47,521 so far.
However, the good news is that there are no new deaths reported within the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) limit.
The active case count has now reached 3,068.
Consider increasing cases, KDMC has made all arrangements to overcome increases in twin cities.
On Thursday, KDMC Commissioner Dr.
Vijay Suryawanshi held a meeting of special assignments with doctors and pediatrics in the city.
The task force gave a briefing to the doctors about the care protocol and also told them that Covid-19 spread quickly among children and pregnant women.
Dr.
Suryawanshi also appealed to citizens to not be afraid that KDMC would take care of anyone’s hospital testing positive.
Dr.
Suryawanshi said, “If a patient does not have facilities required for home quarantine or if the doctor recommends hospitalization, only so that the Civic body recognizes patients in designated Covid care centers.
If not, patients can take care at home.
” He also told the residents that this virus spreads among children and pregnant women and if they have symptoms associated with Covid, then they must be tested without delay.
