Thane: Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has canceled the permit given to the Agri Malvani Jatra Festival which was ongoing at Bhagshala Ground in Dombivli due to violations of Norma Covid-19.
The festival began on December 28 and should end on January 12.
The action was taken after Senior Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Pralhad Mahatre, who worked in the past for the development of Bhagshala Ground, complained to KDMC that after giving permission for the festival, the organizers had damaged the land by digging in several places to establish a kiosk.
After receiving complaints, the KDMC team visited the festival and found people violated Covid norms in the venue, which resulted in the cancellation of permits given to the festival.
