Thane: Special Narcotics Medication and Psychotropic Court Strics (NDPS) here have refused the application of former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni to mendreeze her bank account and FDS and De-seal two flats in Andheri.
A frozen account and properties are sealed in the case of RS2,000 Crore drugs.
Additional session Judge Rajesh S Gupta, who is also a special NDPS judge, passed the order last week.
In his request, Kulkarni through his lawyer handed himself that he was an Indian citizen and has been framed in this case.
He said he was the only breadwinner from his family and he had to bear the cost of one of his sisters who suffered mental health problems.
He further said that since his six bank accounts and three FD were frozen, he could not meet medical costs.
He looked for his flat in Andheri was also not sealed when his sister needed to be stored in an orderly and neat setting.
The prosecutor showed that the defendant had played an active role in crime and he had been accused of this case.
In addition, he had run and was in Kenya since the case was registered on April 12, 2016.
The prosecution was subsequently conveyed that all attempts to bring home the defendant had run out.
Although some notifications issued by the court, the defendant never appeared before the Investigation Agency or Court, therefore the bank account was frozen and the flat owned by the accused.
Prosecution shows that if the application is permitted, the defendant will never appear before a legal institution.
