Thane: Police in the city of Thane Maharashtra have arrested a 49-year-old man with an alleged Eve-Teasing allegation, an official said on Wednesday.
Based on the complaint proposed by a 35-year-old housewife from the Ramwadi area, the Kapurbawdi police have ordered Arun Mudalilar’s charges below 354 (attacks, using criminal powers to any woman) and 506 (criminal intimidation) IPC, an official said.
The defendant used Eve-teasing when the woman walked on the road on Tuesday, and passed obscene comments and touched it inappropriately, the official said.
Angered by the action, the charming victim was accused of with his sandals, after BJP Thane President Mahila Morcha was told about the incident and arrived at the scene with 10 to 15 activists.
Video of the victim and activists who hit the defendant had become viral on social media.
