Thane: a man walked down the road in Thane died after he was hit by the open door of the luggage cabin from the State-managed Shivneri bus, on Saturday night, the police said.
The deceased, Shivaji Irule (52), a resident of Thane, was hit by an open door bus which was accidentally opened by the crew.
Police said the driver, M Wountke (42) drove a bus in a hurry and failed to make sure the luggage cabin door was locked properly.
The door hit Irule, hurt it very much.
He died at the hospital.
The bus driver has been ordered but no arrest made.
