Kalyan: A police team to refer to the thief in Bhiwandi was attacked by his relatives after he jumped from the fourth floor of a building to avoid catching and die in place.
Three policemen suffered injuries because of the attack.
Police from the Bhiwandi crime branch unit along with their Gujarat partners were blamed and attacked for deaths accused by relatives and friends.
Video attacks on police have become viral on social media.
The incident was revealed recently when the Gujarat police learned that Jamil Takla aka Qureshi (38), who was involved in various theft in Vapi, had come to his residence in Kasaiwada, Bhiwandi.
To avoid arrests, takla jumped from the building as he had done in the past, but proved to be fatal this time.
