Thane: A 24-year-old man suspected of killing his mother after a small quarrel in the Thane Maharashtra district, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place at Mumbra Town on Monday when the 45-year-old woman refused to give money requested by her unemployed son, they said.
The man who was right with anger allegedly attacked his mother with a screwdriver, an official said from the Mumbra police station.
The woman received a severe injury and died on the way to the hospital, he said.
His other sons filed a police complaint, after the defendant was arrested and ordered under the Indian Criminal Code 302 (murder), the official said.
