Thane: A 40-year-old child has been arrested in the Thane Maharashtra District for falsifying milk intended for sale.
The police lifted a place in the Jalan Mira area here on Wednesday following a tip-off and found a man mixing water in milk stock, said a police spokesman.
They took 60 liters of falsified milk, a blank plastic package used to pack back branded milk stock after mixing water in it, and other accessories from the place, the official said.
The defendant was arrested and a case registered with him under the part of the Indian Code 420 (cheating) and 272 (falsification of food or drinks intended for sale), and the provisions of the security law and food standards.
