Thane: The electric distribution company Maharashtra Limited (MSEDCL) recently stopped the power supply to the Thane Mental Hospital for the Delayed Bill worth of Lakh, which led to completely chaos.
However, electricity was restored after the local BJP Intervention of MLA Sanjay Kelkar and other party workers.
According to MSEDCL, the hospital has not yet cleared arrears to the Tone of Rs 28 Lakh for the past four months.
Even after some notifications by electric boards, hospital administration failed to pay contributions because they did not receive grants from the government.
Therefore, MSEDCL took a drastic step to stop the electricity supply to the hospital.
However, it caused panic among patients and staff members.

He also said that agitation would continue until the power supply was restored.
As a result, after almost an hour, officials from MSEDCL continue the electricity supply to the hospital.
