Thane: Mudslide was reported at Thane’s Gholai Nagar slums along Parsik Hillslopes on Monday afternoon.
The incident claimed six lives including two minors, officials stated.
The large volume of stones slid from the hillside when heavy rains on Monday and soaked two huts by trapping the population in it.
The neighbors saved the victims trapped inside before the team arrived at the place on Monday.
Meanwhile, heavy rains attacked in Mumbai, Thane, and neighboring areas left many places flooded.
IMD also increased from orange warnings to red on Monday.
