Thane: The 47-year-old Mutton shop owner has been arrested for allegedly a 34-year-old customer to death after they struggle for payment of meat, police said on Sunday.
The incident occurred on December 1, when the victim, a resident of Pokhran Road-2, went to buy meat at Kapurbawdi Naka, along Jalan Ghodbunder.
The duo had a fight after the victim allegedly refused to pay.
“In accordance with the sister of the victim, he and the defendant had a fight, followed where the traders stabbed him in the stomach, leaving him with a severe injury.
The victim rushed to a government hospital, where he gave up on an injury,” said a police officer.
Meanwhile, the defendant trader was arrested.
Police said they were investigating this problem.
