Thane: NCP-Sena's relationship turns acid ahead of the civilian poll

Thane: The relationship between state allies – Shiv Sena and NCP in Thane seems to be acid after leading leaders of the two parties on Monday openly announce their party preparedness to fight Civic polls that will come independently.
The Najeeb Mulla NCP group leader on Monday talked to the media who said his party was ready to fight its own elections and challenged Shiv Sena to appear as its own winner.
Mulla reacted to a statement made by several Shiv Sena Corporators including Mayor Naresh Mhaske who expressed their opinions that their party would fight alone.
Can remember that the relationship between two major parties in Thane Corporation has recently been maintained during several infrared projects after workers from both parties have repeatedly suppressed their seniors to fight at the local level.
“Both parties have enough muscle strength and are connected on the ground in the city and the suburbs and it is unlikely that cadres can choose a prominent seat if the alliance is formed,” said a political observer.
Meanwhile, a surprise meeting between BJP Mla Sanjay Kelkar and Shiv Sena Leader and Mayor Naresh Mhaske on Monday night at the headquarters raised eyebrows in the politics here.
“Kelar is at the headquarters for some work and invited by the Mayor to his cabin.
There is no political connotation that comes from the meeting,” said the BJP group leader and Corporator Manohar Dumre.
However, some party workers said NCP and Sena could patch in front of the poll when senior leaders argue to oppose polls as an alliance.
