A 34-year-old guy was murdered after he was allegedly attacked by an irate mob which imagined him to be trying to abduct a six-year-old woman in Hazuri region near Louiswadi, Thane overdue on Saturday, the authorities said.
Five individuals were detained while others, are absconding following Wagle Estate authorities filed a case.
According to the authorities, the dead, Ram Avatar picked up the woman whilst on his way home, couple sailors who watched him cried imagining him to be abducting the child and began attacking him.
DCP V Rathod stated, others joined the assault.
From the time authorities reachedthe sufferer had suffered severe injuries and was brought to the hospital in which he had been declared dead.
