Thane police arrested four for robbery

Thane: The crime of Thane has arrested four suspected people to carry out a robbery of a gear box and an electric motor of Rs 30 Lakh from a warehouse in Bhiwandi.
Accusations Rakesh Benvanshi, 37, Jakiullah Shaikh, 45, Ramchandra Shukla, 32, and Narendrakumar Gupta alias Lala, 32.
Police said that attending a robbery, a case of theft of housing was registered at the Narpoli Police Station in Bhiwandi and the Branch Crime Unit 1 was doing Parallel investigation.
The police received information about a person accused of Benvanshi who would approach the Board area, therefore the trap was placed and he was arrested.
Police after Benvanshi’s thorough interrogation received the names of three accused because they were taken to be questioned and placed under the arrest.
Police after being interrogated to regain stolen booty including 210 meters of electricity, 177 gearboxes, 6 drives (VFD), and the tempo used in crimes that can be collected by Rs 55.5 lakh.
The police are currently finding out whether the defendant who was arrested was also involved in such crimes.
The local police are carrying out further probes into crime, added the police.
