Kalyan: Unknown people allegedly threw chili powder into the eyes of jewelry and fled with gold ornaments worth Rs 4 lakh at Badlapur in the Thane Maharashtra district on Sunday.
The incident took place at the Milan jewelry store located in the Rameshadi area in Badlapur (West).
The defendant escaped with five gold chains and two bracelets worth Rs 3.9 lakh.
The theft case has been registered at the West Badlapur Police Station against two unknown men in this matter.

On Sunday at 5 pm, a man pretended when the customer approached him to show a gold ornament.
The police said when Chaudhary removed five gold chains and two bracelets weighing 83g and placed them on the table, the defendant threw chili powder into his eyes and escaped with his aide on the two-wheeled parked outside the store.
The incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed in the store.
