Kalyan: An employee of a 62-year-old retired retired center on a brave battle against armed robbers who rolled into Kalyan (W) flat, and made him arrested.
The victim, Prakash Bhoir, lived alone on the second floor in the Radha Nagar area.
The incident took place on Wednesday morning.
Police Khadak in saying Siddhesh Panvelkar (24) breaks into the flats of Bhoir, brandishing the knife and telling him to hand over all the valuable items.
When Bhoir refused, Panvelkar attacked him with a knife, hurt his right thumb.
“Even though he was injured, Bhoir defeated the robber and locked it in a room.
He then summoned his neighbor for assistance, which in turn, warned the police,” said the Assistant Inspector Police Mahendra Chakor.
The police reached the place and arrested Panvelkar, a citizen who had three robbery cases registered against him.
