THANE: The rift in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies at the local level seems to be widening as the Thane Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) unit has now sought the intervention of Sharad Pawar to ensure the general body proceedings here are conducted as per the law.
Two-party representatives, Opposition leader Ashraf Pathan and senior corporator Hanmant Jagadale met Pawar Monday and complained against the online process of the general body meeting held in Thane.
Pawar is learnt to have assured the duo to look into the matter and speak to the concerned leaders from the Sena also.
Observers said the manner in which the NCP has indirectly targeted the Shiv Sena, highlights how last-minute proposals are squeezed in the agenda and projects okayed without proper discussions.
