Thane: Shiv Sena Mla Pratap Sarnaik from Owala-Majiwada constituency in Thane has written to the party’s head and Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray requested his intervention in ensuring Gaimukh Chowpatty was thrown away for the population.
Sarnaiik claimed that the pedestrian area built on the Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB) along Gaimukh Creek using corporate funds under the smart city had not been dumped for residents.
He claimed that while entertainment sources such as cinemas and beaches were opened elsewhere, Thane residents were seized using Chowpatty Gaimukh.
“I have approached MMB but they only quote reasons and deferred to make a decision .
I have asked CM to direct MMB to ensure the pedestrian area is operational at the beginning, “Sarnaik said.
