Thane: Kin from the Tipper truck driver from Karnataka, who was killed in a strange accident while working in Panvel in 2019, was awarded the compensation of Rs 15.8 lakh by tribunal claims (MACT) Thane Motor.
The prosecutor of the old parents and four teenagers from the men who died, Somaraya Mahur begged that the premature death for family breadwinners had thrown their gloom’s shadow.
Mahur is a native of Sakkalameli in the Vijayapur district, Karnataka.
The complainant stated that on May 20, 2019, at around 2:30 a.m., the mahur had parked his Tiper truck in a row at a stone crusher site in Bombai on Panvel, while waiting for the next grit load.
Meanwhile, another tipper was upside down at high speed and hit it.
He rushed to the hospital, where he died during treatment on the same day.
The Panvel City Police Station ordered another driver for violations.
The family said that the 38-year-old mistake at the time, and drew Rs 25,000 per month.
Advice for insurance companies, Poojari KV Advocates, oppose claims in various reasons.
Mact R n Rokade, after hearing both parties, asking Tipper truck owners and private insurance companies to jointly pay the amount of compensation to the family, along with an interest of 8% of the date of submission of compensation claims.
The order states: “At present, small applicants are with their grandparents.
This is a tribunal task to protect the interests of small applicants.
This fact is considered when passing order in connection with the distribution of the amount of compensation is passed.”
