Thane: The fifth and sixth line work that was delayed between Thane and Diva will be completed at the end of February 2022, said Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Shrikant Shinde on Saturday during an inspection of work with officials from Central Railway and Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC).
The fifth and sixth lines that are delayed between Thane and Diva will separate the express train and local services on the central train between CST and Kalyan.
In 2008, MRVC had begun working on the fifth and sixth lane.
Thirteen years, work remains incomplete.
Dr.
Shinde held a meeting with MRVC officials and the railroad center and traveled between Mumbra to the Kopar train station to check the work of the 5th and 6th line.
He also examined the development work that took place at the Kopar train station, Vithalwadi and Amberten.
Dr.
Shinde said, “Although working on the fifth and sixth lane from the central train has been going on for the past few years, his work is now in the final stage.
This work will be finished at the end of February 2022.” He further said, “With the completion of the fifth and sixth train lines, 25 to 30 additional local trains will be added between Kalyan and CST.
Previously, three local trains were stranded behind the express train due to lack of this route.” Shinde said Lane expansion would provide two lanes for fast trains, two for slow trains and two for express trains because the train would not be delayed.
Previously, there was a railroad crossing in Thakurli, Ambivivali, Diva and Kalwa Kharega on the railway line.
The crossing of the train in Thakurli and ambival has been closed and the bridge was built there.
Kharegaon railroad crossing will also be closed in the next two months after the completion of the train kingang in Kharegaon.
Railroad center officials told that the home platform work at the Kopar train station will be completed in 15 days after it will be opened for passengers.
