Thane: Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) said on Tuesday that Covid-19 vaccination would not occur in the city with five different dates because of the Ganesh festival.
The 10-day festival starts at ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’, which falls on September 10 this year.
The Civic body said that vaccination drives would not be made to avoid discomfort for citizens.
Vaccination in all centers will remain suspended on September 10, 11, 14, 16 and 19.
The Civic’s body has urged people to record the same and plan their inoculation.
As on Tuesday, 10.89,125 people from the city were vaccinated against Covid-19.
Meanwhile, Lake City also witnessed a little surge in the case of active Covid-19.
