Thane: Three people were injured when a tanker crashed into a container truck and three cars in Gaimukh Ghat on Sunday late at night.
The accident caused a large traffic jam on Jalan Ghodbunder and commuting stuck on Monday morning in a long queue of traffic congestion.
The traffic movement on the Gujarat route to Jalan Ghodbunder on a closed Monday follows an accident.
The incident occurred at 10:20 a night near Nagla Bunder along the suburbs and piles of traffic spread for almost eight KMS to Majiwada in the city.
The police said they were working to clean traffic from the place.
Santosh Kadam Sel Management Regional Disaster Thane said the three people who were injured in the accident were treated at Bhaktivedanta Hospital.
Those who were injured in an accident were identified as Vinod Kharat (30), Shristi Patil (18) and Pandurang Patil (45).
Roughvadavali Traffic Police officers, police officers RudeVadavali and firefighters in Thane immediately rushed to the place with two emergency tenders, one firefighting machine and a fast response vehicle (QRV).
Mira firefighters were also present at the place after receiving information with one fire fighting machine, one crane, three Hydra, one JCB and three ambulances.
