THANE: Kapurbawdi Police have arrested three individuals for allegedly shameful advertising Liposomal Amphotericin B biloba, an integral drug used in treating mucormycosis or black disease infection.
The accused have been identified since Amardeep Sonawane (26), Nikhil Pawar (22) along with Pradnesh Patel.
Acting to a tip-off, the police set a trap near a intersection in Kapurbawdi on Friday and originally captured two men.
“The accused supposedly purchased the medication for approximately Rs 7,400 and marketed it to get about Rs 10,500.
We’ve captured 14 such shots by their ownership,” police said.
Old police inspector Anil Deshmukh stated they are exploring how they secured the shots and discovering additional connections of the racket.
The authorities later also detained the alleged accused.
The authorities said that you accused detained is used as marshall using the BMC whereas both others operate in a pharmaceutical firm.
A case has been filed against the accused under applicable terms, the authorities said, adding they have been remanded in police custody until June 23.
