Thane to Confront 12 hour water Dip Friday

Mumbai: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) announced on Tuesdaythat due to fix work in Pise Dam, the town will face a reduction in water distribution May 28.

In a declaration, TMC stated it will execute maintenance and repair work of their pumping system in the Pise Dam, which provides water into the city.

The TMC has been sentenced to the citizens to utilize water carefully.

Water source is going to be suspended from regions of Ghodbunder Road, Patlipada, Hiranandani Estate, Brahmand, Vijaynagari, Gaimukh, Gandhi Nagar, Surkarpada, Balkum, Majiwada, Manpada, Kothari Compound, Pawar Nagar, Azad Nagar, Saket, Rutu Park, Siddheshwar, House of Johnson, Eternity and Samta Nagar on Friday from 9 am to 9 pm.

The civic body stated that because of this shutdownthat the water source is very likely to be kept at reduced pressure for another few days until the last degree is revived. “Therefore, the town may get less water to another 1-2 days,” TMC mentioned.

Officials also asked inhabitants of Thane to maintain an adequate quantity of water saved to prevent any hassle. “Please keep enough water and collaborate with TMC to have the job done faster and better,” the body said.
